Itinery
10 00 am departure from Stow on the Wold.
We will take you on a leisurely drive through the Cotswolds Hills to Stratford for lunch.
During your time in Stratford you can visit William Shakespeare’s birthplace, which will give you a fascinating insight into his life as a child.
You will the have time to explore this charming market town and view the historic 16th Century half–timber buildings. Continuing with a visit to the world famous picturesque thatched cottage, the childhood home of Ann Hathaway, before returning to the town for an evening meal.
Lastly, we travel to the famous classical theatres to enjoy a Shakespearian play.
10.30pm we will return to Stow on the Wold.
Shakespeare’s Birthplace Celebrations 2006
Sunday 23rd April 2006 will be the world’s greatest dramatist, William Shakespeare’s 442nd birthday. The focal point of the celebrations on Saturday 22nd April will be the procession through the town involving hundreds of people in costume and traditional dress.
